Trivia

Design Origin

Praeteur may have been inspired by a natural defense mechanism called a distraction display, meant to deter predators by appearing as a far more fearsome animal. In addition, it may be a pun on the phrase "there is always a bigger fish".

Praeteur bears a resemblance to the official Pokémon Luvdisc, however, its connection to it apart from appearance is little to nothing.

Name Origin

Praeteur may be a combination of prey and deter. "Praetor" is also the name of a Roman official ranked below the consul.
