TriviaEdit

  • Mantrake, along with Tarditank has the highest base HP stat of all Bug-type Pokémon and along with Heliofug, it has the highest base Attack stat of all Dragon-type Pokémon. It also has the highest base Attack stat of all non-legendary Dragon-type Pokémon.
  • No other Clovermon has the same type combination as Mantrake and it's pre-evolutions.

Design OriginEdit

Mantrake appears to be based on both a dragon and a bug. Despite it's name and classification, it looks like there was very little inspiration from a Mantis.

Name OriginEdit

Mantrake seems like a portmantua of Mantis and Drake.
