TriviaEdit

Design OriginEdit

The Manateet line is most likely based on a Manatee. Manatorque's Pokedex entry also suggests that it might be partially based on the Elephant Seal.

Name OriginEdit

Manatorque may be a combination on Manatee and torque, a measure of the force that can cause an object to rotate about an axis. It may also involve turquoise, and possibly tough; referring to its defensive nature.
