Because it has a different gender ratio than its pre-evolution, female Inbitween will always change gender upon evolving into Geigh.
When it's cold outside, am I here in vain?
Hold on to the night, there will be no shame.
Always, I want to be with you, and make believe with you.
Before the official release of Clover, the shiny form appeared the same as its normal form but blue instead of a purple color, now its wings are that of a golden color.
If you listen carefully, you can faintly hear the "Ha! GAYY!!" meme in its cry.
Geigh is based off of an Alicorn, a species of unicorn with a pegasus's wings. Its design also incorporates a triangular marking on its flank, which could be a reference to the cartoon My Little Pony. Pink triangles were used by the Nazis to identify homosexual prisoners. Both of these elements are commonly associated with homosexual men, further supported by its gender ratio being 100% male. Additionally, its tail is a rainbow, referencing the gay pride flag. Its shiny form somewhat resembles Rainbow Dash from the after-mentioned My Little Pony. Said shiny form's bright blue body combined with its pink mane and white wings may also be a reference to the transgender pride flag, a nod to how its pre-evolution will change gender upon evolution if it's female. The flaming mane could be a reference to the term “flaming homosexual“, which refers to a very flamboyant gay man.
Geigh's main design resembles the official Pokémon Rapidash, being a unicorn (with the proportions of a realistic horse) with a mane of fire. This coincidentally predicted Galarian Rapidash, who also has a more feminine design, a rainbow motif and the Fairy typing.
Geigh may be a combination of gay and neigh, since "neigh" and "gay" rhyme, therefore "Geigh" is still pronounced "g-ay". It may also be derived from Geiger (as in Geiger counter, which is used to measure radiation). This could possibly be a reference to the concept of a “gaydar”, which is the supposed ability to tell if someone is gay or not.
